Digital Methods for on-line Estimation of the Basic Components of Signals in Electrical Power Systems

Abstract: The fast determination of the Symetrical Components of voltages and currents in three-phase systems is very important for the analysis of faults and protection tasks. Digital algorithms for real-time estimation of the positive-sequence component after faults are investigated, using the Fourier- and Kalman filter theory.
